Rotary Club of Monifieth and District

Rtn PP Ewen Jenkin, Rtn PP Praveen Manthri and Rtn PP Nick Day

Rotary has the motto “Service above Self” and encourages Rotarians all over the world to participate in helping others less fortunate both at home and abroad. Doing this collectively we reach out and assist more communities with more resources.  Within Rotary clubs there are always members who go the extra mile and fortunately Rotary has a unique method of rewarding those who do so – naming them a Paul Harris Fellow after our founder
In recognition of the tremendous work Rotarians Ewen Jenkin and Nick Day have done for several years Rotary Club of Monifieth and District, on behalf of, Rotary International awarded, them the Paul Harris Fellowships.

Nick was President in the year 2007/2008. Nick played a major part in several club’s international projects such as Village water, Wash Projects in Zambia, and India respectively. He was also major player in several community and fundraising projects such as charity shop and charity golf.

Ewen took the Presidency in 2017/18 and he drove the club forward establishing it as an important and active part of District 1010.  Ewen has played a large part in our Youth programme cementing a great relationship with Monifieth High School by encouraging the pupils to participate in the competitions for the Young Chef, Musician and or Photographer.
